Hello from the Pupils

In Pirnmill education is fun.  We sing songs to remember our maths and watch Newsround when we are brushing our teeth. When we are doing Accelerated Reading, which we do every day, we get to lie on the cushions.  We are learning to speak different languages. Mandarin is fun because we make dumplings and get to practice using chopsticks.

We are a creative school, everyone enjoys art lessons and seeing our creations.  We all work really hard and sometimes have to play more than one character in our Christmas plays.  The hall is crammed full of people when we perform it.

We grow raspberries, gooseberries, jostaberries, apples, curly kale, potatoes, rhubarb and wheat…We harvest our crops and make smoothies, apple crumbles, juices, chutneys and jams.

It is important that we learn to swim so in the winter term we all go to Auchrannie pool for ten swimming lessons.

We are an Eco School, we have a compost tip, recycle paper and batteries.  We also do beach cleans.  If we recycle enough we could probably save the whole of the Isle of Arran.
