Digital Week!

P3 had a fabulous time during digital week!  We played with the spheros – guiding them with the iPads, we also used the iPads to create animations using iMotion.  We flew a drone and learned all about internet safety!

Some parents even came in to share our learning!

Primary 3 have been really busy this week!

Phew!  How busy have we been?  We have been reading about Hamish the Hairy Haggis, then we designed our own haggis character!  After we made our characters we wrote an adventure about them!

We have also been learning times tables and are getting really good at making arrays in rows and columns.

We’ve been working really hard in PE and enjoying fun fitness, and later on today we will be starting our pupil councils. How exciting!

Happy New Year from P3!

We’re all  back now after our long Christmas holidays and looking forward to a new term!

We’ve been very busy writing some new year resolutions and learning about the importance of healthy snacks!  We have also made some posters to put up round the school to persuade everyone to bring in healthy snacks every day.

Our new topic this term is light and dark and we have already thought of lots of things we would like to explore.  Watch this space for details on what we get up to!

Author visit with Ed Vere!

We had a fantastic trip with P2 to St Winning’s Primary School to meet the author Ed Vere.  He read us his book ‘Max the Brave’ and a scary book about a monster who we thought wanted to eat us!!

Then he taught us how to draw a monkey called Joe Bananas!!  We then learned more about characters in stories as we made up more about Joe Bananas.  Charlotte suggested that he might live in a monkey hotel and Darren thought he might live in a forest!

Then we asked him some questions and he signed Lexi’s as she had written them all out!

After some of us bought book, Ed signed them and then we went back to school for a late break! It was amazing!

Class chat 11/10/17

Primary 3 had a fantastic trip to Lime Tree Larder on Friday to see a real chocolate factory in action! It was great fun, we sampled lots of chocolate and even answered our big question: “Does chocolate grown on trees?”

We have also been working hard on Place Value and learning all about the Harvest festival.
