In May 2017, North Ayrshire Council made a pledge to tackle the digital skills gap by providing access to Code Clubs for all learners aged 9–13 by August 2020.
Unfortunately COVID overtook this ambition and work on this project ceased for a few years.
The Coding the Future team now comprises Tim Dreyer, STEM Development Officer and Rosslyn Lee the Digital Development Officer. So far this year they have worked with Springside Primary School and are working with P5-7 pupils at Loudoun Montgomery at a lunchtime code club.
