Curriculum

At Lawthorn Primary and EYC, we pride ourselves on delivering an engaging curriculum which supports children to succeed through the provision of challenging and motivating contexts for learning. We are extremely fortunate to have a fantastic staff team who work together to provide high quality learning experiences for all of our children.

Alongside our class-based learning, we integrate frequent opportunities for outdoor learning to foster creativity, and to promote a sense of adventure through experiential, real-life contexts for learning. Our school grounds are an ideal place for children to explore, and we also enjoy venturing into the local area to learn and to make a positive impact on our community. We work in collaboration with local partners to support pupils to become active and engaged citizens.

Our pupils also benefit from a wide range of opportunities to participate in school committees and in extra-curricular clubs. We believe firmly in providing all children with opportunities to experience success, both within and beyond the school day.
