S1 Food Fair

On Thursday 24th November 2016, S1 joined the Home Economics department the annual Food Fair.

Pupils participated in a Food-Lab presentation which focused on Healthy Eating and how to stay healthy into adulthood.   Other events during the session included food tasting:  chilli con carne from Mexico and coconut bread from Jamaica and a Farm to Fork activity looking at what is grown in our local area and just how far some of our food has to travel to reach us.
