LGBTQIA+ Collection

We launched our new LGBTQIA+ collection in February and this has proved to be a very popular addition to the library.

 

 

 

 

 

Blind Date with a Book

For Valentines Day we had a display of books which were wrapped up to hide their identity. A short description of the book was given but with no clues to the title. Many pupils took a chance on finding a book they’d love.

Book Week Scotland

Our S1 classes participated in book tasting sessions. We also had an emoji quiz during registration and a reading lunch.

We had a fantastic display of favourite childhood books recommended by staff.

We also had a staff competition, what would the title of your autobiography be. Our worthy winner was Mr Elliott with his entry ‘Dancing Through the Years.’

 

Halloween

Some of our BGE classes participated in a Halloween quiz made up of questions from books, films and trivia.

Roald Dahl Day

Our BGE classes tested their knowledge of Roald Dahl by completing a Roald Dahl activity.
