Earth Day

Wednesday 22nd of April was Earth Day.

Why not celebrate it over the weekend by trying out some of the following ideas.

WAYS TO GET KIDS INVOLVED IN EARTH DAY

#1 Nature Photography: Grab your camera or smartphone and head outdoors for some picture taking. Put your child behind the lens and let them capture the beauty mother nature has to offer.

#2 Cloud Watching & Star Gazing: Lay on blankets and pillows in the yard while pointing out cloud shapes and cloud animals. Head out at night time and gaze up at the stars too. When is the last time you found the Little Dipper?

#3 Egg Shell Planting: Still have some hard boiled eggs from Easter laying around? Take the shells and plant in them! Fill the shell with some potting soil and a seed, and once the seed sprouts, plan the whole thing in the ground!

#4 Outdoor I Spy: My kids LOVE playing I Spy! It usually entertains them on long car rides. The great outdoors offers tons of things for your little eye to spy and it’s even a fun game to play on the porch in the rain.

#5 Earth Day Scavenger Hunt in Nature: You know I’m all about scavenger hunts for kids. We’re taking it outdoors with an Earth Day Scavenger Hunt!
