Friday 14th of June is the start of the Euros and Scotland will be playing the opening match of the tournament against hosts Germany.

Pupils will be allowed to wear a piece of clothing that has a Scotland theme. This is NOT a dress down day, but instead a celebration of Scotland’s participation in the tournament and being part of the opening game. For example, if pupils have a Scotland top or t-shirt, they can wear this with their school trousers/skirt. More examples include; wearing a piece of tartan, a Scotland hat (to be taken off in class) or Scotland earrings. We do not want pupils turning up in a blue tracksuit and claiming it is Scotland themed, this will not be allowed. If pupils do not have anything Scotland themed do not worry, in PE we will have face paint and we can draw a small Scotland flag on their face! Pupils do not need to take part in this if they do not wish to and please can you ensure they all still bring normal equipment to school (bag, jotters etc) as classes will be running as usual on Friday. Again, this is not a dress down day. This will only be for Friday’s game as it is the opening game of the tournament. Any questions please contact Mr Gilmour in the PE department, I will be happy to answer any of your queries.
