Redrafting Process – Portfolio and Internal Outcomes:

By Tuesday 1st November, please submit a 2nd Draft of your chosen piece of writing (out of the ones you’ve done to date).  You should complete and submit the following:

  • Keep an original untouched copy of the first draft (this may need to be resubmitted at a later date as evidence of progression of piece)
  • Complete Critical Reflection Overview (below) taking into account teacher feedback and own ideas for development – identify areas you need to work on and discuss ways in which you intend addressing these in the redraft.
  • Go through the original and annotate (using ‘comment’ feature in word) on key areas you are going to work on) – print and submit with redraft.
  • Complete redrafting process – being aware of developing ideas, meaning and style as well as sorting technical aspects.  Submit updated copy and electronic copy for storage.
  • Use ‘Track Changes’ feature in Word and print copy and submit with redraft to show where changes have been made – you may want to save the track changes document separately.
  • Hand in the original marked version with the redraft too – this may also be stored as evidence.

Remember, the more evidence you collect the better.
