What is the course?
The S3 Level 3 French course is a fun, active and challenging course that will enable you to:
- write and speak with increasing accuracy in French
- write and speak at greater length and with more confidence in French
- read and understand longer and more complex written texts in French
- listen to and understand longer and more complex spoken texts in French
- develop your ICT skills
- better understand the value and importance of being able to speak another language in today’s world
How will I learn?
Working at level 3, and towards gaining a National 3 award, you will learn through whole class teaching opportunities followed by a range of different fun, practical and hands-on activities, done in groups, pairs or individually, to help you to develop your literacy and communication skills in French. You will be actively engaged in a wide variety of projects and activities in class. You will have the opportunity to use ICT to complete research and projects.

How will I be assessed?
You will have the opportunity to complete N3 French in S3 and you will sit N3 unit assessments at various points in the year.

Being able to speak another language gives you an edge over other candidates when applying for jobs or college and university courses. Language skills enable you to travel, work and study all over the world!
