As you prepare to enter S3, the final year of your Broad General Education, there is an opportunity to personalise the curriculum studied. You will continue to study English and Maths, together with other core subjects PE, PSE and RME.
In addition, one choice will be made from each of the following curricular areas:
- Expressive Arts
- Science
- Social Subjects
- Technologies
- Modern Languages
Two ‘free’ choice will then be made to complete the curriculum.
The ‘columns’ vary from year to year depending on pupil uptake. This blog contains information on all available courses and we would encourage you to discuss these with your child prior to both choice events. Pupils will also have the opportunity to discuss personalisation and choice with their guidance and subject teachers but please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any further queries.
