What is Design and Manufacture?

Design and Manufacture is about understanding people, questioning existing ways of doing things and seeing opportunities for innovative products that will enrich quality of life.  You will explore research, design and practical methods used at the discipline’s forefront. Design and Manufacture allow the course to be flexible and allow scope for personalisation and choice.

A career in design or manufacturing ca take you in a very diverse rage of jobs. It involves a range of different sectors to go into from graphics designers, manufacturing and the engineering aspect.  A career in design often allows you to work together with various professions to create the overall product.

Manufacturing systems engineer, product designer, product test and analysis, product development, graphics designer, product promotor, construction—design, construction—site, furniture design and maker, interior designer, joiner, maintenance technician, set designer
