Some P6 pupils have enjoyed learning how to code with Ms Hakim. They have made use of the Beebots, programs on the Ipad and Scratch. This is what they had to say:
“Getting to use the coding games on the Ipad was fun.”
“I enjoyed using Scratch.”
“It was good, really fun.”
“Scratch is good if you are someone who likes to create animations.”
“I liked using the Lightbot.”
In the week of Chinese New Year, the children were making their own compasses and looking at a map of China to see how far the Great Wall extends.
Primary 3 had fun learning to be great engineers and building like the Romans last term.
Primary 4 have been busy at home using their understanding of materials to create different houses for the Three Little Pigs.
Their challenge was to create three different houses using materials in their home.
It had to be able to:
1. Stand up without support.
2. Can fit an object inside.
3. Are taller than 10 cm.
And a little extra challenge:
Can it be waterproof?
Can it stay standing when it is windy?
