Text the YoungMinds Crisis Messenger, for free 24/7 support across the UK if you are experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • If you need urgent help text YM to 85258
  • All texts are answered by trained volunteers, with support from experienced clinical supervisors
  • Texts are free from EE, O2, Vodafone, 3, Virgin Mobile, BT Mobile, GiffGaff, Tesco Mobile and Telecom Plus.

Childline:

Childline is a free, private and confidential service for children and young people in distress.

  • Call on 0800 1111 and you’ll get through to a counsellor.
  • Calls are free and won’t show up on your phone bill.
  • You can also use their website to 1-2-1 chat

Samaritans:

Samaritans offer a safe place to talk any time you like, on your own terms.

  • Call on 116123 to speak confidentially to speak to someone.
  • Calls won’t show up on your phone bill.

SANE:

For to anyone affected by mental illness, including family, friends and carers.

  • Call on 0300 304 7000

HOPElineUK:

Hopeline offer counselling services aimed at suicide prevention for young people. Their services are confidential.
