This week in literacy we have been practising our spelling words using a variety of mediums. We have used chalk, water, paint and yesterday we did ‘dial a number’ (this was a tricky task as we had to work out which key on a telephone pad corresponded with each letter in our spelling list!) and spelling shapes. P1/2 have been enjoying active literacy hour and worked especially hard when we had P5/6/7 helpers helping us this week.

 

We have been looking at number bonds in numeracy. The children are getting more confident in quickly and fluently knowing their number bonds. Some have been challenging themselves and showing their knowledge of number bonds up to 100… Wow!!
