Football session:
This week we focused on familiarising ourselves with the ball. We explored different ways of using our feet to move the ball around the gym.
We practised using the inside and outside of our foot to freely dribble around the hall and then challenged ourselves to move in and out of cones placed around the gym. The first time we dribbled in and out of the cones it took us 3 minutes, 15 seconds for everyone to get around, but on the second go we managed it in 1 minute, 51 seconds!
We also spent some time short passing. We spoke about how we could pass the ball to a partner and in pairs practised passing the ball over a short distance. We had two rounds at this and everyone managed to beat their first score – well done!
We finished off with a game of dodge ball, adding in some of our own rules too! The children had a super time today, well done for the great effort. Keep it up!
