Yesterday at McKenzie & Cruikshank, Niamh and Isla represented Alves Primary in the Forres School Tattie Scone Championships for Piping At Forres ticket launch. The girls competed against teams from the other Forres Primary schools in a ‘Junior MasterChef’ like cook off. They had a great time making their Bacon and Black pudding tattie scone which the judges liked a lot. Niamh and Isla did such a fantastic job representing Alves Primary that the Head Teacher of the winning team from Dallas Primary which made a home reared buffalo sausage meat tattie scone emailed me today saying,
“Just wanted to pass on how impressed I was with your delightful girls’ yesterday afternoon. They were such good sports and so kind and polite to the Dallas kids. They spontaneously high fived my two when they won, told them they deserved to win and chatted to them throughout wishing them luck etc. Lovely kids!!”
It is moments like this that makes me so proud to be the Head Teacher of Alves Primary and the fantastic young citizens we have here. Well done Niamh and Isla!
