The children started off the day with saying who they came dressed as and telling their favourite part in their story.  They were then introduced to comics. The children paired up and went on a verb hunt using comics.  From the collection of verbs extracted they went outside to act them out!  Once back in doors the  children used their characters to create an action story of their own.  They added verbs to each of ther drawings and will use this as a stimulus for next week’s writing lesson.  There has been some excellent vocabulary being used and great action stories being created today, well done P1/2!

In the afternoon the children came together as a whole school to listen to stories written by some of the P5/6/7 children.  Top job! I enjoyed listening in to some very creative writers share their short stories.
