On Friday November 8th we had a visit from SportScotland to celebrate the schools success for acheiving the SportScotland Gold Award for schools so all children could be involved in this celebration. It was a very inspiring assembly as we discuss the importance of sport and how skills are transferable in all aspects of learning and life. We explored Article 31 The Right to Play within Scotland and compared this to other countries around the world followed by inspiring video about great moments in sport. A huge thank you to everyone that has supported our “Opportunities for All” initiative here at Alves Primary and most importantly our Health & Travel group and Mrs Hall for organising sporting events and gathering all information for the award.  The award will be presented at this years SportMoray Recognition Awards on Wednesday 27th November.
