Christine and Anne from Rotakids visited the UNA business group.
We discussed….
*Plans for Rotakids lunch on Thursday and expectations for this. (Poster presentation needed)
*End Polio Now – Plant crocus bulbs in Alves Community Hall flower beds and have assembly up at the hall in Spring time to raise awareness. Selected representatives will plant crocus bulbs in Grant Park along with other schools involved. To be linked to Goals and Rights!
*Young Writer and Young Photographer competition – Alves to take part in next years entry. Watch out for this in Rotakids Newsletters.
*Plans for inviting the Elderly along to AFT, Daffodil Tea and Peace Pole ceremony are in place. Check dates and times
*Christine to contact Pam Watson from Forres to train kids on delivering a music and movement session to Elderly for International Day for the Older Persons in October time.
*Anne speaking with International School link to come speak with us regarding the specific school and how we can help support the rights of the children over there.
International Day of Peace (21st September 2019) – All business groups discussed how we are going take action for climate change to raise awareness and considered next steps as a community.
