Potted Sports Fun

Well done to everyone who braved the cold weather to take part in the Potted Sports – the sun shone in the end! A huge well done to all the teams. Your teachers have commented on your good behaviour and how well you supported each other and worked together. This is what our Potted Sports is all about!

The highest scoring team was Douglas B and Douglas were the winning house team. The results show just how close it was this year – you were all stars!

Douglas – 2815

Wallace   – 2771

Bruce –    2721

Stuart – 2680

Many thanks to all the parents and helpers who gave their time to make it such a good day. A special mention to Mrs McGregor, Mrs Hamilton and Mrs Finlayson who were in school by 7am to help  set up and to the P7s who came in at 8am to lend a hand!

Building Works Update

As you will probably already know extensive improvement works are planned to carried out on the school between July 2015 and March 2017. Fiona Grant, the Moray Council Resources Officer who is overseeing the works gave a presentation at Applegrove for Parents on Tuesday evening. Nick Goodchild, the Educational Resources Manager also came along and parents were given the chance to see how the poroposed changed would look and hear about how it will impact the children.

For any Parent who could not make the meeting, Fiona and Nick are giving another presentation on Thurday at 9am on Thursday in the School Hall. Please feel free to attend this and ask any questions you may have.

The planning application detailing the proposed work can be accessed on the Moray Council Planning Portal at the link below:
