I Can Tree
Linked to the four capacities our I CAN tree is situated in the cloakroom. This term we will be adding new leaves to the tree and talking to the children about the four capacities. Nursery staff will also hand out leaves for the children to complete at home. We look forward to sharing our learning on the tree!

Working Together
Over the last year we have developed and changed the way we welcome new children and families to the Nursery. This year we started off the first week with an open day where we also invited partner agencies. The day was a huge success thanks to the commitment of all involved. Our new children were given an informal introduction to Nursery where they could play and explore while Nursery staff were on hand if they required any help. During the day children and families also met staff from Midlothian Sure Start, Childsmile and Lawfield Parent Council. It was a great way to build relationships from day one.
We will gather feedback on the event and will share this with you very soon. Thank you to everyone involved for your support and enthusiasm on the day!!

Open Day
On Friday 21st August we are holding an open day in Nursery to welcome all our new children and families. We are delighted the following people will join us on the day:
- Midlothian Sure Start
- Childsmile
- Lawfield Parent Council
- Tricia Di Duca
After a tour of the Nursery, refreshments will be served in the creche where you can hear more from the agencies and people we work with. Start dates will also be issued on Friday.
