Tonight on BBC Scotland they are showing a documentary about IBM in Greenock BBC Silicon Glen: From Ships to Microchips.  Industry in Inverclyde has changed so much in the past century, from the secondary / manufacturing sector to  the tertiary / service-based sector.  It is a topic I come back to again and again as we look at the Scottish Economy and the pattern of employment across Scotland so this should be worth a watch for all students S3 and above.
