About

In 2016 I began the PGDE Primary course at the University of Dundee. Prior to my interview, I don’t think I had ever been there before. For me, it is a Goldilocks city. Not too big and not too small. It’s just right and I love it! Since moving here I have seen some beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the Tay, and enjoy watching bunny rabbits from my window foraging for their breakfast whilst being stalked by a light footed like fox. Fortunately I haven’t witnessed any scenes of blood and guts, yet.

I love children’s inquisitive nature and aim to create a nurturing classroom environment where Teaching and Learning is driven by the children. Particular areas of interest for me are meta-cognition and since starting the course, Formative Assessment.

My goals for 2017 are:

  • to become a probationer teacher in August;
  • to be able to free handstand by the end of the year;
  • and to run an outdoor 5k in under 20 minutes by the end of the year.
