This a a glow blog using the Twenty Twenty-three theme. An experiment in customising using the Site Editor. The content of the posts is just to take up space to give me something to work with.

Inspired by garry.net which I saw mentioned on Doug Belshaw’s site. Doug liked the idea of a 3 column layout. I though it could be done with the site editor.

I’ve not completely managed. I think I’d need to be able to add some CSS, disabled on a multi-site to get the columns to scroll. But I think it is doable. We have aded a small snippet of CSS to limit the height of the second column. This makes it scroll. The Query loop is set to show up to 100 posts. After that there would be the links to see the next 100.

The Hilight on the post titles in the second column I don’t think we can handle in CSS.

To do this I edited the templates for 3 pages, the home page, the posts page and the single post template.

The home page is a 2 column layout , the left had column being filled with a new template part. That means the Posts & single pages can use that template and a second, post lists one.
