Literacy across the Curriculum: Meeting the needs of pupils with English as an Additional Language within the classroom

Study of Scottish secondary school teachers’ beliefs about the reading literacy needs of pupils with English as an Additional Language and how these are met in classroom practices. Introduction of a critical multidimensional approach to the development of reading literacy, exploring tasks that integrate subject content and language. Participants will explore interactive samples of texts as they consider how to develop language and literacy within classroom and school contexts.
