This week in the discovery area we have been doing lots on spaceships. We’ve made our own planets, made name rockets and have been building rockets out of 3D shapes. The stories we have been reading to relate to space are one button benny by Alan Windram, Astronaut in training by Catherine Ard and Aliens love underpants by Claire Freedman which the children especially loved.
In the STEM area we have been using magnifying glasses and a microscope to discover what we can see. The children have really developed their understanding of our senses particularly our sight.
