One of our morning parents has come to staff with concerns about the driving and parking habits of a morning parent who drops off at the busiest part of the day.  The speed limit around our school is 20mph at drop off time and parking places are tricky to find.  The school car park is for staff cars only and our wee people and their parents/carers have to cross this to get into Nursery.  We would be very grateful if you would give yourself a couple of extra minutes to find a suitable parking space – even if it is up the hill a bit.  The Community Traffic Wardens have recently been giving parents who park on restricted areas, parking tickets.  If we have any more complaints about the safety of driving we will ask the local police to monitor the situation.  PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF DRIVING CARELESSLY AROUND OUR SCHOOL, SLOW DOWN AND BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL.  This is far too important an issue to ignore – our childrens’ lives are at risk.
