Our Word of the Week is part of an East Dunbartonshire-wide Initiative called Word Aware, designed to increase our children’s vocabulary.  Every week we choose two interesting words from a nursery story book that we read with the children.  We talk about the words and explore their meanings together.  By displaying them, we hope that parents and carers will also perhaps take the opportunity to talk about these words at home too!
