This week has been a week of planting in Nursery. We all planted a sunflower and Lynn has been planting beans in jars with tissue paper to show the children how the roots of the plant develop and then the shoot. These have now been planted out into pots with soil, so we can plant them out into the garden once they grow. The school classes have all been over with our Eco Champion, Mrs McElney – each class has planted a different variety of spuds. They are having a competition to see which variety grows best. We planted ours too. We aren’t part of the competition though we think we’d probably win because ours were planted with such love and care.
Whole lotta planting going on!
