Icy Play – from last Thursday

On our first day back, the weather was extra cold. In the playground the water in one of our play trays had frozen into a big solid sheet.  This gave us a real chance to investigate the properties ice has.

Charlie had a great idea!  He went into nursery and found some plastic tongs to lift the ice with!  My hands don't get cold if I lift it with this- he said.
