Today Rowan brought a beautiful bird’s nest into Nursery. Her neighbour had found it in their garden shed, and kindly given it to Rowan and her family. We looked at how beautifully it was made. It was light as a feather and it had leaves, twigs and moss woven into it. There was even some animal hair in the wee bit where the eggs must have been laid. We thought it must have been quite a little bird that made it.
Rowan decided that she wanted to put it out in the garden in a tree so that another wee bird might use it to lays its eggs in. May was really interested and watched while Rowan found the perfect spot – in the branches of a tree.
