Loneliness

Loneliness can affect people of any age; we often associate it with our elderly population, but it cuts across all ages and stages in life. Feeling lonely isn’t a mental health problem, but the two are strongly linked. Having a mental health problem increases your chance of feeling lonely and feeling lonely can have a negative impact on your mental health. Loneliness is never easy to endure, but the last two years of lockdowns, social distancing and restrictions have most likely exacerbated feelings of loneliness for all of us.
