WIZE – supporting digital wellbeing in the Forth Valley and West Lothian Regional Improvement Collaborative – is the successor to the Central E-Safety Partnership, continuing to help celebrate great uses of the Internet and mobile technology, and promote the safe use of the Internet and digital technology to reduce online and e-crime and risk of harm to children, young people, adults, and vulnerable groups in the Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, Stirling and West Lothian Council areas.

Being Smart Online has shared a video “Steering Clear of Cyber tricks” which highlights some of the ways people can be tricked online, and some tips to avoid being taken in by these tricks. So if you’ve seen messages like “Win a mobile device!” or “Bad luck if you don’t pass this on to 10 friends” or “Play this game to win” – then how do you know which things you can trust, how can you work out which links are scams, and what can you do?
