Leading Gender Equality in Education – Session 2: Addressing gender stereotypes

Please note that registration for this event will give you access to all five sessions listed below, it is preferred that delegates attend all five sessions. Joining information will be sent for each session separately by email, in advance of each session.

This five session programme will support practitioners to use the Improving Gender Balance Self-evaluation Framework to implement a whole setting approach to addressing gender imbalance and promoting equalities. Each session will explore a section of the framework in depth, providing practical solutions and allowing practitioners opportunities for discussion. The programme is open to aspiring leaders and current leaders in ELC, Primary, and Secondary settings.

It would be beneficial for participants to have read the PDF FilePDF file: Improving Gender Balance Self-evaluation Framework (782 KB) prior to attending the event.

At the end of the course participants will be asked to submit a reflective piece. An optional session on conducting an enquiry will be run to support this.

The sessions will be led by Education Scotland staff.

Session 3: Learning and teaching – Wednesday 23 November 2022
Session 4: Skills and pathways – Thursday 15 December 2022
Session 5: Family and community learning – Monday 16 January 2023
Session 6 (Optional): Conducting an Enquiry – Wednesday 1 February 2023
