Join us as John Dunlop of St Ninian’s High School in Kirkintilloch outlines academic research on contemporary religious literacy and its relationship with RE in schools in Scotland. John will consider what different models and examples of religious literacy might look like in practice. The session will highlight key sociological and educational reasons for promoting religious literacy in RE, and provide practical classroom strategies. This will open the dialogue about religious literacy in RERC, RME and CfE in Scottish Schools.
