From School and College to University: Contemporary Issues in Teaching Psychology

The ATPS have a great CPD event coming up for psychology teachers and lecturers on Saturday 9th March in Glasgow!

The theme will be student transition from school/college to university – a very important issue for psychology educators and students. The event aims to promote dialogue and collaboration across the sectors, by bringing together speakers and participants from Scotland’s schools, colleges and universities. You’ll find full info on the programme at the registration link below.

It’s free to attend!

There will be short talks to introduce topics, and then the emphasis will be very much on discussion. It will be a great opportunity for sharing your experiences, views and ideas – and of course for networking with colleagues within and across the sectors.

Book today! It’s free but you need to register, here:

BPS Scotland and the ATPS have organised this event jointly, and it’s open to all, ie you don’t have to be a BPS member or an ATPS member. When registering, if you are a BPS member, click the ‘register here’ button and log in with your BPS account. If you are not a member, click the link (under the registration button) to create an account, then you will receive a login and password that will allow you to book your place.

The venue is conveniently located at the Strathclyde University Students’ Union, 51 Richmond Street, G1 1XU (a few minutes from stations /bus station). See the BPS event page for full info.

This is our first in-person ATPS/BPS-S collaboration event since before the pandemic. It was originally planned for last November but we had to postpone due to illness and other factors. So please take this opportunity and book your place now! It will be great to see lots of you gathering in person – CPD events like this for psychology teachers and lecturers are few and far between. There are lots of good reasons for joining this event!
