Investors in Young people: Making a difference in Scotland!

IIYP logoSince the launch of Investors in Young People (IIYP) in July 2014, we’ve worked with over 200 organisations across Scotland. These organisations employ young people to help their businesses to grow and they know the benefits of bringing in new skills, talent and ideas. They embrace the value that working with an Investors in Young People Specialist brings to help them build on great work and improve their strategies.

Investors in Young People is one of the recommendations in the Commission for Developing the Young Workforce. At IIP Scotland we’re working with partners and employers across the country to reduce the levels of youth unemployment and support employers to recruit and develop young people.  The Scottish Government has now committed funding for small and medium size employers with up to 250 employees to work with IIPY until March 2016.

The first of its kind in Scotland, the IIYP framework recognises positive youth employment outcomes. At the heart of IIYP are the values, passion and vision of the organisations that we work with. We support and guide each organisation to harness the talents of the Young People who contribute to that shared vision that drives organisations forward.

Take a look at the case studies of some of the fantastic organisations we’ve worked with on the IIYP website.

Until March 31st 2016 organisations can take advantage of funding from the Scottish Government to support IIYP accreditation or advice.
