Developing the Young Workforce Leaders Conference at West Lothian

West Lothian held a special event to support and drive forward their agenda to better prepare young people for the West Lothian DYW Confworld of work. Representatives from education, industry, college and training providers, Skills Development Scotland and parents came together to coordinate and align efforts in order to drive forward the DYW agenda already well under in the local authority.

The event included the launch of a new customised West Lothian Employability Award , the Positive Destinations website http://www.positive-destinations.co.uk/ as well as inputs by Joan MacKay (Education Scotland, DYW Implementation Lead (Schools)) and Anne Wexelstein (Director, Career ready for Scotland) and Stuart McKay (West Lothian Council’s Opportunities for All officer).
