I really enjoyed doing my audacity for Digital Learning Week. The recording part was easy and fun but when it came to the editing it became a lot more stressful and challenging. From this experience I have learned how to track, add sound effects and turn up quiet volume. This is not my best piece of music but I have learned from my mistakes and next time I will do a much better song.

Primary 6 created these images of their groups as Rock Bands and then edited them usinig all different filters. Such creativity.
As part of the Digital Learning Week tasks, I created a pixel art of a digital leaders logo. It included a laptop saying WPS Digital Leaders. I used Scratch to create it then used a screenshot and saved it as an image. It took me a while to make it and I did it during school. It was a challenge making the keyboard!
Here is my logo!
Rosie and I did a advert about Fever for our Digital Learning Scotland. Before we filmed it we had to plan it all out, part of the planning was, planning who would be in the film and we also had to write out a script. Rosie says “it was quite hard but we got to the end in the end” Abby says “the planning was quite hard but we got through it in the end.
Filming
After we had written the script the next stage was filming. Rosie says ” that it is really fun!” Abby says ” Filming is really fun but sometimes it is stressful…..but barely any of the time”
Here is a Sway about our trip to Ardmay last week created by Jamie and Zander in P7.

Primary 6a were using their knowledge of digital technology to complete their maths tasks. They were challenged to create a playpark using a set budget of £3000. They thoroughly enjoyed it and the results looked fantastic.

This week our School has been joining in with Digital Learning Week. I did a film called Madison. I have done a film before but this time I did a shorter film because normally my films I do are quite long. I don’t normally clip my video clips but this time I did. I added my own sound affects instead of the ones that are already made. I also added music which I don’t normally do either. I also turned up the volume up on the clip with some help and I have never done that before so that was really cool.
Mission 4 arrives at project Project Planetarium this week and it was all about Space Missions!
Part 1:
We used Twig on Glow videos to investigate how the news reported Neil Armstrong landing on the moon compared to Tim Peake at the International Space Station. We recognised that videos have changed over the years, for example videos now are clearer, coloured pictures, sharper images and have zoom. We also noticed how Tim Peake used Social Media to share his adventures in space via Twitter and a Video Log, this is something they could not do during Neil Armstrong’s mission.
Part 2:
Each Home Team are currently researching 2 space missions each. We made notes under the following headings:
We skimmed and scanned a selection of websites and books to find out the relevant information. We had to use key words to research using different search engines. We used Yammer to make a list of useful child friendly websites that we could use – this was so we could help each other. We will use this information to make a timeline of missions.
Part 3:
We have been learning about the job of a astronaut. We used books, videos and websites to discuss:
We found out that you need to have a qualification in Science or Technologies, and that is was useful to have a knowledge of different languages. We will use the information we found out to write a job discussion for an Astronaut.
We also have been trying to build our own spacecraft – watch this space!
