Creativity is an important tool in developing learning, strengthening understanding, and facilitating knowledge that a teacher can use effectively. Technology allows pupils to catalogue, share, create, and do so in a variety of ways that are accessible to the majority of learners in our class.

Devices such as the iPad are designed primarily for consuming content, when we think of an ineffective use of technology, we see children sitting with an iPad watching endless videos – the Tools for Learning series will aim to show how iPad can be used to engage learners creatively. Media, animations, podcasts, drawing, creative essays – they are all effective ways in which learners can share their understanding in a way that is personal to them. The iPad, the technology, the digital pencil case is only part of the equation; having teachers who are aware of the ‘Art of the possible’ means that they will have the confidence to make an informed choice about what creative learning and teaching looks like.

This session is at aimed at primary and secondary BGE teachers looking to infuse creativity into their practice. ALL practitioners are welcome.

Please have an iPad with the latest software and up to date apps in line with your local authority policies.

This session will NOT be recorded.
