This educator webinar is for all educators supporting early level learners in a ELC/primary school/school/afterschool/home setting IN SCOTLAND.
Educating young learners about cybersecurity and the importance of passwords and passcodes is crucial in today’s digital world and benefits overall digital literacy. The National Cyber Security Centre recommends using three random words to create a more secure password to better protect our accounts and devices and The Bongles and The Crafty Crows story introduces children to this through developmentally appropriate scenarios, encouraging critical thinking and decision-making. This empowers children to recognise when and where to find help and about the importance of device security.
Within the early level curriculum in Scotland, children are supported to assess and manage risk and understand the impact of risk-taking behaviour in all aspects of play and learning; this includes the safe and secure explorations of digital technology – Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety.
