HP are inviting schools to participate in a fully funded professional development opportunity for SLT and teachers, HP IDEA (HP Innovation & Digital Education Academy).

What is HP IDEA

HP IDEA (HP Innovation & Digital Education Academy) is a program that converges innovation, technology and pedagogy to create lasting impact and foster skills for blended learning. Leveraging frameworks from Harvard University’s Project Zero and University of Michigan’s School of Education, the program runs for a full academic year (virtual live innovation training sessions and conferences), and teachers graduate as HP IDEA Fellows.

Scale

HP IDEA runs in 30 countries, in 10 languages, and in almost every country in partnership with the National Ministry of Education. Over 60,000 teachers have benefited from the program and more than 1.4 million students have so far been positively impacted by the program, as indirect beneficiaries.

Time Commitment

Couple of hours every week, can be increased / decreased, depending on the school schedule.

Innovation Projects

Teachers have to undertake a pedagogy innovation project as part of the program and scale it through the school and demonstrate impact.

  • Fellows become members of the global HP IDEA alumni with access to best practices for collaboration and invites to speaking sessions.
  • HP IDEA Incubator program offers alumni Fellows the opportunity to apply for funding to scale their projects.
