Welcome from the Head Teacher

Dear Parents/Carers,

As Headteacher of Craigton Primary School & Nursery Class, I am delighted to welcome you and your family to our school. Our school is an inclusive, nurturing and welcoming place for children to play and learn, where everyone is supported to be their very best. We have high expectations of every child in our school and our staff team are dedicated to ensuring every child receives a challenging and exciting school experience. Our aim is for your children to fall in love with learning, develop confidence in themselves and contribute positively to our school community.

Our school building has stood at the heart of Craigton since 1910 and we are proud of our long-standing history of high-quality education. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to continually improve our school and we work with our whole school community regularly to evaluate and develop our approaches.

This handbook sets out our aims and priorities for the session 2025 – 2026, which I hope you find helpful. The monthly Headteacher Newsletter, class updates on seesaw and excellent home-school communication will keep you up to date with the life of the school and the community.  Family partnerships are a key strength of our school and there are a wide variety of opportunities for parents to play an active role in school activities. We hope you will join us at as many events as you can.  Our values are central to everything we say and do in our school, and these are values we are very proud of.
