Happy New Year to all our Staff and Pupils

Its a new year, new possibilities, new challenges and new adventures. 2022, what will it bring for you. For our first years a chance to experience more whether it be in classroom learning or in our extracurricular clubs. For our second and third years it brings choices, what subjects are you going to pick for going forward into you next years, what do you enjoy? What will you need to get to the career path you want to take? For our fourth, fifth and sixth years other it brings assessment, prelims will be starting and you will be studying at the moment. Remember studying is important but so is …..sleeprest.relaxation…so however you switch off balance it out with a good study schedule. Everyone is different you’ll work out what works for you.

  • Please use the hand sanitizer
  • Please wear face masks
  • Pupils can borrow two books at a time for a two week period
  • Please look after the books and remember someone has to read it after you.
  • Books can be read in the Library so take a book curl up on a bean bag and relax.
  • All computers and desks are cleaned after use.
  • Seniors the library will be open 10am till 2pm for your studying needs and till 5pm after school on Thursdays for extra study revision time.

 So what is new this term time…

  • Library Assistants – A brand new team will be starting the Library Assistants Programme supported by our Senior Duke of Edinburgh Pupils, Finn, Jenna and Paris. Learning the tasks of the Library, categorisation including the Dewey system and helping to design displays including the theme for the staircase. These individuals will work (and it is work not all fun and games) till Easter time. Once successfully completed they will receive a book prize, badge, and certificate and will be able to use this volunteer experience in personal statements for College/Uni or in their CV’s.
