Referrals for support and input from Airport House are usually discussed at a Child’s Plan meeting with professionals, parents and young people’s input. If it is decided that a referral should be made, there is a referral form available for guidance teachers to complete. The Manager at Airport House hosts montly meetings with local high school Deputy Head Teachers where any referrals or potential referrals are discussed and allocation of a space, depending on capacity, is decided.
If you feel that support from Airport House may benefit your young person, please discuss this with the team of professionals supporting them in the first instance.
If schools require guidance and support as early intervention to prevent a young person from requiring alternative provision, we also offer outreach support for young people and consultation with professionals. Guidance teachers can request this support by contacting the Airport House manager.
