We provide alternative provision to young people who require extra support to reach their educational potential.
We understand that most of our young people have experienced trauma as a response to adverse childhood experiences and so we work with our young people in a nurturing and trauma informed way.
We offer a safe space for our young people to express the difficulties that they are having in their lives that is impacting their education and work with our young people in a problem solving way to make steps towards change.
We work hard to build meaningful relationships with our young people so that they feel safe, nurtured and cared for.
We ensure that our young people’s basic needs are met first and we are responsive to our young people’s emotions through our own emotional literacy skills.
We work with families and carers to ensure that our young people have opportunities at home to work on the social and emotional skills that they are building in Airport House.
We ensure our young people know that our main aim is to help them work towards achieving a postivie destination at a pace that works for them.
