Starcatchers’ Creative Skills Programme 2015/2016

Starcatchers is delighted to announce that online registration is open for Creative Skills Training for Early Years Practitioners (including, nursery workers, childminders and play workers), for our 2015-16 programme across seven local authorities: Aberdeen; Dundee; East Lothian; Edinburgh; Fife; Inverclyde; South Lanarkshire.

This programme delivers a range of theoretical and practical training sessions and covers a range of art forms, building creative confidence and enabling practitioners to integrate knowledge and skills gained into their practice. We support Early Years practitioners to design and lead their own activities while emphasising a playful, child-led approach to arts and creativity.

Following the success of the pilot programme, which ran from 2013-1015 (evidenced through an independent evaluation undertaken by Really Useful Knowledge), funded by Creative Scotland and the Scottish Government, we are delighted that the Scottish Government has funded this innovative training for 2015/2016.
