On Friday 5th June we celebrate World Environment Day; for this occasion our ‘Maths is Awesome’ article is about different forms of renewable energy. This week’s brain teasers are Pyramids and Coordinate Grid Challenge; I have also added web addresses if you want to stretch yourself further.

Good morning!

Have you noticed that the toucan’s beak makes up 1/2 the bird’s body length? What about the sword-billed hummingbird?

You can read and do some calculations about these interesting animals and have a go at the Number Detective and Mystery Matrix activities!
