Shared Vision, Value and Aims

In St. Paul’s we all strive to do our best.

We want to ensure that our children are fully prepared for life in the 21st century.  We encourage pupils to be ambitious in their achievements, confident in their abilities, responsible within their community and effective in their learning by promoting Gospel values and developing the talents of each individual.

We are a Rights Respecting School with a strong commitment to meeting all individual needs of our learners.

Through this commitment we aim to set the highest standards in all aspects of education for all the community.

We recognise the importance of working closely with parents, parishes and the wider community in order to promote the best possible opportunities for all pupils. They are encouraged to reach their full potential as healthy individuals and to ensure that our school is recognised and valued within that Community. We strive to involve all our children in their own learning

Our vision is based on shared values.

In St. Paul’s our mission is to educate the whole person – making Jesus Christ known to all our children and helping them to live their lives according to His values, which are shown in His commandment:

Just as I have loved you, you should also love one another

By placing Christ at the centre of our school we enable our children to experience true happiness, wholeness and holiness.  In St. Paul’s we look to the Beatitudes for the values and attitudes which are expected for the Disciples of Christ:

Our Core Values

WISDOM
‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.’

Our hope in St. Paul’s is that truth will be understood by those who acquire wisdom.

JUSTICE
‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.’

Our hope in St. Paul’s is that our relationships are based on a sense of justice.

COMPASSION
‘Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.’

Our hope in St. Paul’s is that we act out of concern for the good of all.

INTEGRITY
‘Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.’

Our hope in St. Paul’s is that we live in accordance with what we believe is good, honest and true.

Our Aims

At St. Paul’s Primary School we move ever closer to our vision by:

Involving pupils in the corporate life of the school through a wide range of representative committees.

Continuing to develop clear and robust procedures that involve all in self-evaluation throughout the school.

Fostering high quality leadership at all levels encouraging reflection on the work of the school and welcoming challenge.
